Band Together - Wishing You A Happy Birthday!

My supply of Birthday cards is dangerously low and I had a lot of fun playing with ideas using the Playing with Patterns designer series paper. This paper is so much fun!

My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is:

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Whisper White (thick): 11" x 4¼", scored at 5½"

  • Night of Navy: 5½" x 2¾"

  • Whisper White: 1¾" x ½"

  • Playing With Patters designer series paper: small circles multi-color paper 1" x 5½" (2 pieces)

I also used the following stamps and dies:

  • Band Together stamp set: Large flowers with stems and leaves

  • Band Together stamp set: "Wishing you a Happy Birthday!" sentiment

  1. Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 11" x 4¼" and score at 5½"

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp fold in your card base along the score line

  3. Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 5½" x 2¾"

  4. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 1¾" x ½" (check your scraps!)

  5. Trim two pieces of the Playing With Patterns multi-colored small circle designer series paper to 1" x 5½"

  6. Using your Versamark ink pad, ink up your large flowers with stems and leaves stamp - you will need a large stamping block for this - I recommend Clear Block F

  7. Stamp onto your Night of Navy cardstock angled towards the left - so the bottom part of the stem is in the lower left corner of your Night of Navy cardstock

  8. Cover the Versamark ink with white embossing powder and heat set using your heat tool

  9. Stamp the "wishing you a happy birthday!" sentiment in Night of Navy ink, centered, on your small piece of Whisper White cardstock

  10. Place Stampin' Seal on the back of your designer series paper strips and adhere one on either side of the front of your card base

  11. Use adhesive foam strips on the back of your Night of Navy cardstock around all four edges and then Place centered on the front of your card base slightly overlapping your strips of the designer series paper

  12. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your sentiment strip and adhere down into the bottom right-hand corner of your Night of Navy cardstock

  13. As a finishing touch color in your flower flowers with your Wink of Stella pen to give it a little sparkle!
