Blessed To A Wild Rose Card in Purple Posy & Mint Macaron

Today's card is a favorite of mine. I love the "To A Wild Rose" stamp set and it is so versatile with the matching dies!

The colors I chose for this card are Purple Posy and Mint Macaron with touches of Whisper White, Silver Foil and Vellum.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Purple Posy (card base): 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

  • Vellum (dry embossed): 3¾" x 5"

  • Whisper White (sentiment): 2½" x 1"

I also used the following stamps and die cuts from the matching sets:

  • Rose stamp and die - stamped on Whisper White

  • Various leaf die cuts in Mint Macaron, Vellum and Silver Foil

  • Decorative strip die in Purple Posy

  1. Using your paper trimmer, cut the Purple Posy cardstock to 8½ x 5½" and then score it at 4¼"

  2. Fold at the score line and burnish with your bone folder

  3. Cut your piece of vellum cardstock

  4. Insert the cut piece of Vellum into the Scripty 3D embossing folder and run through your Big Shot (or equivalent)

  5. Adhere the embossed vellum to your Purple Posy card base using snail adhesive, centered (don't worry about the adhesive in the center showing through your vellum as we will cover it with the flowers and leaves embellishments in a little bit)

  6. Cut out 7-8 of the decorative leaves in Mint Macaron, Vellum and Silver Foil

  7. Cut out the decorative strip from the die set in Purple Posy

  8. Since we no longer have a Purple Posy ink pad, I used the Purple Posy Stampin' Write marker to color the various rose stamps and stamped them on Whisper White. I used the Stamparatus to line up the stacked images. I then colored and stamped the outline image for the rose and die cut it out.

  9. Layer the die cut leaves around the middle of the card as a base for the die cut stamped roses

  10. Place the uncolored rose on top of the leaves

  11. Add the decorative strip over the stamped, die cut Whisper White rose - vertically towards the left of the card front

  12. Layer the fully stamped rose die cut image over them all as shown

  13. Color the 'Blessed" sentiment in using Mint Macaron and Purple Posy Stampin' Write markers then stamp on the Whisper White cut cardstock

  14. Use a few Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the sentiment up on the card

  15. As a finishing touch, add a few sequins from the Woven Threads sequins assortment

I love how this card turned out but would love to hear your thoughts!
