Congratulations with Wild Rose
The card I am showing today is simpler than it looks and was fairly easy to make.
The colors used in today's card are Night of Navy, Silver (Foil) and Misty Moonlight.
I used the following cuts of cardstock:
Whisper White (thick): 8½” x 5½”, scored at 4¼”
Silver (foil): ¼” x 5½” x 2
Night of Navy: ⅝” x 5½”
In Good Taste Designer Series Paper: 4¼” x 5½”
I also used the following stamps and die cuts:
"Congratulations" sentiment stamp from the Peaceful Moments stamp set
Small intricate rose from the Wild Rose die set
Start by trimming your Whisper White (thick) cardstock to 8½” x 5½” and score at 4¼”
Use your bone folder to crease the edge of the scored fold for your card base - you want it to lie nice and flat!
Cut a piece of the In Good Taste Designer series paper to 4¼” x 5½”, I used the Misty Moonlight white spackle DS paper to go with my Night of Navy color
Cut two strips of Silver (Foil) paper to ¼” x 5½” - check your scraps!
Cut a strip of Night of Navy cardstock to ⅝” x 5½” - check your scraps for this one too!
Die cut 3 of the small intricate rose die cut from the Wild Rose die set in Night of Navy
Using the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder, run the Whisper White card base front through your Big Shot (or equivalent)
Trim the embossed front of your card base at 2½” then trim the cut piece from the card base at 1" - this should leave you a 1" piece that you can use in a future project as well as a ¾" piece to attach later
Find the "Congratulations" sentiment stamp from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and stamp in Versamark ink in the center of your cut Night of Navy cardstock
Cover the stamped sentiment in silver embossing powder and heat set it using your heat tool
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your cut designer series paper and adhere inside your card base
Using your fine tip glue pen, apply a small amount of glue to the back of the side of each die cut rose to create a bridge between your card base and the ¾" piece of embossed cardstock you cut off earlier
Apply glue to the back, other side of the die cuts to adhere to the cut piece - this will keep a 1" portion of the card front base open to the inside to see the designer series paper inside your card
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your sentiment strip and adhere down to the top front of your card base, approximately ½” from the top
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of both your strips of Silver (foil) paper and apply to the top and bottom of your sentiment strip - make sure to get it nice and tight!
Cut a 7" strip of denim ribbon and using Stampin' Seal, apply to the bottom of the card base front
As a finishing touch, I added 1 large champagne rhinestone to the center of each Night of Navy die cut rose to add a little pop
I hope you enjoyed today's card!
