Floral Essence in Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Pretty Peacock
Today I wanted to create a card that just screamed "it's spring!".
I started with a So Saffron card base and stamped in the same color flowers from the Floral Essence stamp set. I then stamped the center of the flowers in Pretty Peacock using a stamping off technique.
I stamped 6 of the perennial flower, 4 in Flirty Flamingo and 2 in So Saffron, used my aqua painters to lightly watercolor the flowers in then punched them out using the matching perennial punch. After glueing a flower on top of another, I finished the flowers off by using some shimmery crystal effects to create a flower center on each.
To create the leaves you can see peaking out from behind the flowers on the card, I stamped the same perennial flower in pretty peacock, watercolored them in and punched then out. I then cut them into three pieces to become the leaves behind the flowers.
Using the detailed bands dies, I cut out the fancy label and the top label. I stamped the sentiment in pretty peacock and then layered it on top of the fancy label with stampin' dimensionals and finished with a couple of the metallic pearls in gold.
After adhering the label with my sentiment using my fine tip glue pen, I glued my leaves down and used more stampin' dimensionals to really may the flowers pop.
I hope you liked today's card - I loved putting it together!
