Handmade Masculine Happy Birthday Card

I always feel it's a struggle coming up with masculine cards. Absolutely love how this one turned out!

The colors were simple with Misty Moonlight and Brass (foil).

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Misty Moonlight: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

  • World of Good Designer Series Paper - Misty Moonlight map with brass foil accents: 5½" x 2"

  • Brass foil: 5½" x 2"

I also used the following stamps and die cuts:

  • "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set

  • 2" scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies

  • 1⅝" circle from the Layering Circles dies

  1. Start by cutting your Misty Moonlight cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp crease to your card base fold

  3. Trim your World of Good designer series paper to 5½" x 2"

  4. Trim your Brass foil sheet to 5½" x 2"

  5. Die cut your 2" scalloped circle in Misty Moonlight (check your scraps)

  6. Die cut your 1⅝" circle in Whisper White (again, remember to check your scraps!)

  7. Place your trimmed piece of Brass foil inside your Tin Tile 3D embossing folder and run through your Big Shot (or equivalent)

  8. Cut a strip of Misty Moonlight ribbon to approximately 18"

  9. Apply a strip of tear and tape adhesive to the edge of the back of your trimmed Misty Moonlight designer series paper and carefully align your embossed Brass foil along the edge of your designer series paper - be sure your edges are perfectly aligned!

  10. Wrap the Misty Moonlight ribbon around the seam of your embossed Brass foil and your designer series paper - tie in a bow towards the left side (this is to leave room to attach your sentiment beside it later

  11. Stamp your "Happy Birthday" sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink in the center of your 1⅝" die cut circle

  12. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your white sentiment circle and adhere down in the center of your Misty Moonlight scalloped circle

  13. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your embossed Brass foil and designer series piece and adhere down, centered, on your card base

  14. Apply 4-5 Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of your sentiment and adhere down, centered vertically over your ribbon and approximately ¼" from the edge of your card base on the right
