Magic in this Night - Halloween Card

The Magic in this Night suite is just so much fun! I love the designer series paper the most but I can't resist the black glitter paper either. So many options - so little time!

My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, White and Vellum.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Basic Black: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

  • Blackberry Bliss (with spiders on it) Magic in this Night designer series paper: 4⅛" x 5⅜"

  • Basic Black: 3¾" x 2"

  • Black glitter paper: 1" strip from 12" x 12"

I also used the following stamps and/or dies:

  • Halloween Magic dies: label die

  • Halloween Magic dies: border die

  • Hallows Night Magic stamp set: "There is Magic in this Night" sentiment

  • Hallows Night Magic stamp set: Spider

Directions:

  1. Trim a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp fold in your card base

  3. Trim a piece of the Blackberry Bliss (with spiders on it) designer series paper to 4⅛" x 5⅜"

  4. Trim a 1” strip of Black glitter paper

  5. Trim a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 3¾" x 2⅛"

  6. Using the decorative strip die from the Halloween Magic die set, die cut 2 pieces using your strip of Black glitter paper

  7. Die cut the 3⅜" x 1¾" label from the Halloween Magic die set on your 3¾" x 2" piece of Basic Black cardstock

  8. Stamp the “there is magic in this night” sentiment stamp from the Hallows Night Magic stamp set in Versamark ink, centered, on your die cut label

  9. Stamp two of the smaller spider stamps one in the top left corner of your die cut label and one in the bottom right corner of your label to accentuate your sentiment

  10. Cover your stamped sentiment and spiders in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder then heat set with your heat tool

  11. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your designer series paper and adhere down, centered, on your Basic Black card base

  12. Using your fine tip glue pen, apply a small amount of glue on the back of your black glitter decorative strips and adhere down - one over the top of your card face and one on the bottom of your card face

  13. Apply a small amount of your fine tip glue pen on the back of your square Vellum doily and adhere it down, centered, on your card base over your designer series paper

  14. Apply 4-5 Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of your Basic Black label and adhere it down, centered, on your vellum doily

  15. As a finishing touch, apply two of the iridescent pearls in offset corners on your label - opposite to the embossed spiders
