Magic in this Night Suite - Happy Halloween in Pumpkin Pie

I've been having a lot of fun playing with the Magic in this Night suite and who doesn't love glitter paper?! Today's card is fairly simplistic and very Halloween(y?)!

My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie with Black Glitter Paper and a little Vellum.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Pumpkin Pie: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

  • Pumpkin Pie: ¾" x 4"

  • Black Harlequin Magic in this Night designer series paper: 5⅜" x 4⅛"

  • Vellum: 3½" x 4¾"

I also used the following stamps and/or dies:

  • Hallows Night Magic stamp set: "Happy Halloween" sentiment

  • Halloween Magic dies: small bats die

  • Celebration Labels dies: 3¼" x 4½" label die

Directions:

  1. Trim a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp fold in your card base

  3. Trim a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to ¾" x 4"

  4. Trim a piece of the Black Harlequin designer series paper to 5⅜" x 4⅛"

  5. Cut a piece of the Metallic Mesh ribbon to 4⅛"

  6. Die cut the 3¼" x 4½" die from the Celebration Labels dies on Vellum cardstock using your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (or equivalent)

  7. Cut your die cut label in half

  8. Using scrap pieces of your black glitter cardstock, die cut 5-6 of the smaller bats

  9. Stamp the “Happy Halloween” sentiment stamp from the Hallows Night Magic stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the center of your ¾" x 4" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock

  10. Stamp the small detailed bat from the Hallows Night Magic stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto your cut in half vellum label (see image for further details)

  11. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your designer series paper and adhere down on your Pumpkin Pie card base

  12. Apply a small amount of your fine tip glue pen to the underside of your Metallic Mesh Ribbon over where you will place your sentiment strip and adhere it down over your designer series paper

  13. Apply a small amount of your fine tip glue pen on the same area of your die cut label and adhere down over top of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon

  14. Apply a small amount of your fine tip glue pen on the back of your Pumpkin Pie sentiment strip and adhere it down over the bottom of your Metallic Mesh Ribbon and your vellum label

  15. Using your fine tip glue pen, apply a small amount of adhesive on the back of your diecut glitter bats and adhere down above your Vellum piece on top of your designer series paper (see image for details)

  16. As a finishing touch use three of the medium sized iridescent pearls from the There is Magic in this Night suite as shown in the image
