Ornate Thanks "Seriously, you're amazing" Handmade Card

The card I am featuring today is quick and easy to make when utilizing the Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper. This card takes less than 5 minutes to make. Seriously!

I piggybacked off the colors in the specialty designer series paper, using Bumblebee, Early Espresso and Old Olive.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Sahara Sand (card base): 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

  • Designer Series Paper: 5⅜" x 4⅛"

I also used the following stamps and punches:

  • "Seriously, you're amazing" from the Ornate Thanks stamp set

  • Medium Daisy punch, one each in Early Espresso, Old Olive and Bumblebee

  1. Trim the Sahara Sand cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼" using your bone folder

  2. Choose a designer series paper from the Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper for your card and trim to 5" x 4"

  3. Cut a strip of Braided Linen trim to approximately 2 feet

  4. Use your Medium Daisy punch to punch out 1 each in Early Espresso, Old Olive and Bumblebee

  5. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your designer series paper but leave the top left corner free of adhesive - you will roll it over to expose the card base beneath to apply your sentiment stamp (see image for further details)

  6. Roll the top left corner of your designer series paper down and adhere using a small amount of Stampin' Seal+ (do not fold this down - roll it over)

  7. Place your sentiment onto Clear Block C, use your Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad to apply ink and stamp diagonally above the fold of your designer series paper

  8. Fold your braided linen trim into approximately 3" sections and adhere down using your adhesive of choice - I recommend the Stampin' Seal+ (see image for details)

  9. Use your bone folder to lightly roll the petals of your punched daisies then use multipurpose adhesive to glue them together, slightly offsetting the petals of the daisies

  10. As a finishing touch, add a large champagne rhinestone in the center of your daisy

Super quick and easy to make but could be done with so many combinations of designer series papers and colors. Happy card making!
