Poinsettia Place Suite - Magic & Wonder Card
Aren't the poinsettia's from the Poinsettia Place suite beautiful?! Coupled with the red velvet paper from the August to December mini catalog, the dies make the perfect poinsettia!
My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Real Red, Garden Green and Very Vanilla.
I used the following cuts of cardstock:
Very Vanilla: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"
Very Vanilla: 3" x 2"
Garden Green: 3½" x 2½"
Garden Green/Very Vanilla Poinsettia Place designer series paper: 5½" x 3¼"
I also used the following stamps and/or dies:
Poinsettia Petals stamp set: "May magic and wonder bloom this holiday"
Large poinsettia die: 3" die
Large poinsettia vein embossing die: 3"
Mini Poinsettia dies: 1" die
Hippo & Friends dies: 2¾" x 1¾"
Hippo & Friends dies: 3¼" x 2¼"
Trim a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"
Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp fold in your card base
Trim a piece of Garden Green cardstock to 3½" x 2½" (this will be used to die cut a label die from the Hippo & Friends die set so check your stash!)
Trim a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 3" x 2" (this will be used to die cut a label from the Hippo & Friends die set so check your stash!)
Trim a piece of the Garden Green/Very Vanilla Poinsettia Place designer series paper to 5½" x 3¼"
Using the large poinsettia die and the matching embossing die, die cut out two of the large poinsettias using red velvet paper
Using the two smallest cut and emboss dies, die cut out 4 of the small poinsettias using red velvet paper
Using the 2¾" x 1¾" label die from the Hippo & Friends die set, cut out your label in Very Vanilla cardstock
Using the 3¼" x 2¼" label die from the Hippo & Friends die set, cut out your label in Garden Green cardstock
Stamp your “May magic and wonder bloom this holiday” sentiment in Real Red ink in the center of your Very Vanilla die cut label
Use your bone folder to gently curl your poinsettias leaves
Use a mini glue dot to adhere your two large poinsettias together with the leaves off set in the layers and do the same with your two sets of small poinsettias
Apply two of your basic pearls to the center of your two small poinsettia flowers
Apply a small amount of multipurpose glue into the center of your large poinsettia and apply one of the pearl embellishments - be sure to allow this time to dry!
Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your designer series paper and adhere down, centered, on your Very Vanilla card base
Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your Very Vanilla stamped label and adhere down, centered, on your Garden Green label
Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of your Garden Green sentiment label and adhere down approximately 1” from the bottom and almost completely right on your card base
Apply a couple glue dots to the back of your large poinsettia flower and adhere down with the leaves slightly overlapping your label being sure not to cover your sentiment
Apply a glue dot to the back of each of your small poinsettias and adhere down in the top right corner of your sentiment label and near the bottom left corner of your sentiment label
