Slimline Card with Love of Leaves & Banner Year

My card today was fairly easy to make - simple cuts and just a little heat embossing.

My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Basic Black, Pretty Peacock, and Cajun Craze with Gold heat embossing.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

• Pretty Peacock: 8½" x 7", scored at 3½"

• Pretty Peacock: 7" x 2½"

• Basic Black: 6⅞" x 2⅜"

• Basic Black: 3¼" x ¾"

• Magic in this Night designer series paper: 8¼" x 3¼"

• Gold Foil: 3¼" x 1"

I also used the following stamps and/or dies:

• Love of Leaves stamp set: 9 point leaf solid stamp

• Banner Year stamp set: "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment

Directions:

1. Trim a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to 8½" x 7" and score at 3½"

2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp cold in your card base

3. Trim a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to 7" x 2½"

4. Trim a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 6⅞" x 2⅜"

5. Trim a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 3¼" x ¾"

6. Trim a piece of Gold Foil to 3¼" x 1"

7. Trim a piece of the Pumpkin Pie, Pretty Peacock, and Basic Black Magic in this Night designer series paper to 8¼" x 3¼"

8. Stamp one of the large leaves from the Love of Leaves stamp set in the center top half of your 3¼" x ¾" piece of Basic Black cardstock in Versamark ink

9. Stamp the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment stamp from the Banner Year stamp set in Versamark ink, centered, on your 3¼" x ¾" piece of Basic Black cardstock

10. Cover your stamped leaf image and sentiment stamp in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set with your heat tool

11. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your designer series paper and adhere down, centered, on your Pretty Peacock card base

12. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your embossed leaf Basic Black cardstock and adhere down, centered, on your blank piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock

13. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your Pretty Peacock and adhere down, centered, on your designer series paper

14. Apply Stampin’ Seal to the back of your Basic Black sentiment strip and adhere down, centered, over your Gold Foil

15. Apply 3-5 Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of your Gold Foil sentiment strip and adhere down approximately 2” from the bottom of your card base

16. As a finishing touch, take 9 gold metallic pearls and use three centered above and three centered below your gold foil sentiment then apply three centered above your stamped image
