Sneak Peak! Christmas Wishes with Poinsettia Petals
Hello! I have a sneak peak for you today at one of the new stamp sets coming out with the mini catalog that is going to be released in just a couple of days! Poinsettia Petals is a beautiful stamp set and it is part of a suite! The new suite is called Poinsettia Place is absolutely beautiful!
My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Seaside Spray, Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride with a touch of Whisper White.
I used the following cuts of cardstock:
Seaside Spray: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"
Whisper White: 4¼" x ⅜"
I also used the following stamps, dies and/or embossing folders:
Winter Snow: embossing folder
Banner Year: Christmas Wishes sentiment
Poinsettia Petals stamp set: large poinsettia stamp (x2 on vellum)
Poinsettia dies: large poinsettia die (matches the poinsettia stamp we use)
Poinsettia dies: berry sprig die
Trim a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"
Use your bone folder to get a nice, crisp fold in your card base so it lies flat
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4¼" x ⅜"
Insert the front of your Seaside Spray card base into the Winter Snow embossing folder and run through your Big Shot (or equivalent)
Using Versamark ink, stamp the large poinsettia image from the Poinsettia Place stamp set, twice, on Vellum
Cover the stamped poinsettias with silver embossing powder for both images and heat set with your heat tool
Using Melon Mambo ink, stamp the “Christmas Wishes” sentiment stamp from the Banner Year stamp set
Use the Banner Pick a Punch to punch the end on both sides of your sentiment strip
Using the matching die from the Poinsettia Dies, die cut out your two poinsettias
Cut out three of the berry sprigs from the Poinsettia dies set in Blushing Bride
Cut out two of the berry sprigs from the die set in Silver foil
Cut out two pieces of the Seaside Spray metallic ribbon in lengths of approximately 5"
Using your Light Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends marker, color in the back of your die cut poinsettia leaves
Apply a small amount of Stampin’ Seal in the middle of your card base, slightly higher than centered
Apply your berry sprigs using the stem adhered to the Stampin’ Seal adhesive on the front of your card base
Apply a small amount a Stampin’ Seal over the stems of your berry sprigs and adhere down your two strips of Seaside Spray metallic ribbon criss-crossed over top
Using a glue dot, adhere your two poinsettia flowers together then use three more glue dots to glue down your flower over top of your sprigs and ribbon
Apply 5-6 mini stamping dimensionals on the back of your sentiment strip and adhere over top of your poinsettia flower
To finish the card off, color 3-4 of the basic pearls in Dark Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends and adhere down to accent your poinsettia
