Snowflake Splendor - May Your Season Sparkle
I kind of missed the mark for Christmas in July but wanted to share this card I was playing around with. Not exactly traditional colors but love that pop of Magenta Madness!
My Stampin' Up! Color Fusion for today is Magenta Madness, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.
I used the following cuts of cardstock:
Magenta Madness: 11" x 4¼", scored at 5½"
Whisper White: 5¼" x 3⅞"
Whisper White: 2¾" x 1½"
Snowflake Splendor designer series paper: 4¾" x 3½"
Silver Foil: 3⅜" x 3⅜"
I also used the following stamps and/or dies:
So Many Snowflakes dies: large 3⅜" x 3⅜" snowflake
Snowflake Wishes stamp set: "May your season sparkle" sentiment
Winter Snow embossing folder
Stitched Rectangle dies: 5⅛" x 3¾"
Stitched Rectangle dies: 4⅜" x 3"
Painted Labels dies: 2½" x 1¼"
Trim a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock to 11" x 4¼" and score at 5½"
Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp fold in your card base
Trim a piece of the Balmy Blue and Highland Heather water wash look Snowflake Splendor designer series paper to 4¾" x 3½"
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 5¼" x 3⅞"
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 2¾" x 1½" (remember to check your scraps!)
Trim a piece of Silver Foil cardstock to 2¾" x 1½" (remember to check your scraps!)
Using the large detailed snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes die set, die cut, centered, on your piece of Snowflake Splendor designer series paper
Using your Big Shot (or equivalent), die cut the 5⅛" x 3¾" stitched rectangle and the 4⅜" x 3" stitched rectangle, centered, within the center of your 5¼" x 3⅞" piece of Whisper White cardstock
Run your rectangular stitched frame through the Winter Snow embossing folder
Die cut the 2½" x 1¼" label from the figure out which set this actually comes fromPainted Labels die set on your piece of Whisper White cardstock using your Big Shot (or equivalent)
Stamp the “May your season sparkle” sentiment in Magenta Madness ink on your die cut label
Using a fine application of your fine tip glue pen, apply to the embossed edges of your label and then cover with Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat seat with your heat tool
Apply Stampin' Seal around the die cut snowflake on the back of your designer series paper and adhere your piece of Silver Foil
Apply Stampin' Seal to the rest of the back of your designer series paper and adhere down, centered, on your Magenta Madness card base
Apply foam adhesive strips to the back of your embossed rectangular frame and adhere down over your designer series paper so that none of the designer series paper is shown along the outside edges of the frame
Apply two layers of your Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of your sentiment label along the top
Apply Stampin' Seal to the bottom edge of your sentiment and adhere down approximately ⅜" from the bottom of your card base, centered
Cut a 5" piece of the Snowflake Splendor ribbon and tie in a bow
Use a glue dot to adhere the bow down in the top right corner of your sentiment label
To finish the card off, use your Take Your Pick tool to apply a basic rhinestone to the center of your snowflake and another in to accent your sentiment label
