Soft Encouragement Card Prized Peony

I was aching to use more of the Prized Peony stamp set - it's just so beautiful! The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set and I also incorporated one of the dies from the Forever Flourishing die set, Layering Squares dies and the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder. Had so much fun with this one!

My colors are soft today, with Purple Posy, Old Olive and Crumb Cake.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Crumb Cake: 11" x 4¼", scored at 5½"

  • Whisper White: 3½" x 5"

  • Purple Posy: 4⅞" x 3⅝"

  • Crumb Cake: 3⅜" x ¾"

  • Whisper White: 3¼" x ⅝"

  • Whisper White: 3" x 3"

I also used the following stamps and die cuts:

  • Layering Squares 2¾" die

  • Layering Squares 2⅛" die

  • Large leaves die from the Forever Flourishing die set

  • Prized Peony die


  1. Start by cutting your Crumb Cake cardstock 11" x 4¼" and score at 5½"

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice, crisp fold on your card base score line

  3. Then trim your piece of Whisper White 3½" x 5"

  4. Then cut a piece of Purple Posy to 4⅞" x 3⅝"

  5. Then cut a strip of Crumb Cake to 3⅜" x ¾", for a mat for your sentiment (check your scraps!)

  6. Then cut a strip of Whisper White 3¼" x ⅝", for your sentiment (check your scraps!)

  7. Last trimmed piece is Whisper White, trimmed to 3" x 3" (scraps!!)

  8. Place your Purple Posy cut cardstock into the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder and run through your big shot (or equivalent)

  9. Take your 3 inch by 3 inch piece of whisper White and using the 2¾" die and the 2⅛" die from the layering squares stamp set, die cut using your big shot (or equivalent)

  10. Place your large leaves die from your Forever Flourishing die set onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock and run through your big shot (or equivalent)

  11. Find the peony stamp from the Prized Peony stamp set and ink it up in Highland Heather ink - stamp off once then stamp onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use the matching peony die to die cut in your big shot (or equivalent)

  12. Stamp your "you can do this" sentiment stamp in Crumb Cake ink on your piece of 3¼" x ⅝" Whisper White cardstock

  13. Using the Lovely Labels pick a punch, insert the left side of your stamped sentiment strip and punch

  14. Take your layering piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for your sentiment stamp and punch

  15. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your 3½" x 5" piece of Whisper White and adhere down centered over your Crumb Cake card base

  16. Take your embossed Purple Posy cardstock and apply Stampin' Seal to the back and it adhere, centered, down over your piece of Whisper White.

  17. Take your die-cut square frame and apply Stampin' Seal to the back of it. Adhere down on your Purple Posy embossed cardstock near the top leaving roughly a ⅜" border on the left, right and top

  18. Using your fine tip glue pen, apply glue to the back of your die cut Old Olive leaves and apply down diagonally over the bottom right side to the top left of the square frame

  19. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your die cut Highland Heather stamped, die cut image and apply down to the right side bottom of the frame

  20. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your Whisper White sentiment strip and apply to your Crumb Cake layer, centered vertically and on the right

  21. Add 3-4 Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of your sentiment strip and apply down to the right side of the card, layered slightly over the bottom of your die cut peony and lined up with the right side of your Purple Posy cardstock

  22. As a finishing touch, add a few basic rhinestones on your card
