Stampin' Up!'s Daisy Lane in Calypso Coral and Basic Black
My card today is a fairly simple one but I love how it turned out. The pop of the calypso coral with the starkness of the basic black is great!
Below is my color fusion inspiration:
This is the card that I will be walking you through today:
I started with a card base in calypso coral and ran it through my Big Shot with my brick & mortar embossing folder. Then, I ran a scrap piece of basic black cardstock through with the scripty embossing folder to give a little more dimension to the background.
With a piece of whisper white, I first stamped one of the artisan textures stamps (retiring June 2 - get it now!) in calypso coral for a base and in memento tuxedo black ink, I stamped the daisy and daisy stem image from the Daisy Lane stamp set. My sentiment, "It's your time to shine" is also from the Daisy Lane stamp set.
For an added touch of bling, I wrapped some black glittered organdy ribbon around the bottom of the whisper white cardstock and tied in a knot (securing it with some snail adhesive) the adhered a handful of sequins from the woven threads sequin assortment in terracotta tile.
I hope you enjoyed today's card and please, let me know your thoughts by submitting a comment below!
