Stampin' Up!'s Ornate Garden Handmade "Thanks" Card

My card today is another simple one to make but could be repurposed in a multiple of ways using different designer series paper, or even DIY patterned paper.

The colors were all taken from the Ornate Garden designer series paper I choose which were Just Jade, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider.

I used the following cuts of cardstock:

  • Just Jade: 8½” x 5½”, scored at 4¼”

  • Overlapping circles Bumblebee Ornate Garden designer series paper: 5⅜" x 4⅛"

  • Whisper White: 5" x 1"

I also used the following stamps and dies:

  • 3" scalloped layering square from the Layering Squares die set

  • "Thanks" sentiment stamp from the Ornate Thanks stamp set

  • Triple Banner Punch

  1. Trim your Just Jade cardstock to 8½” x 5½” and score at 4¼”

  2. Use your bone folder to get a nice crisp crease in your card base fold

  3. Trim your overlapping circles in Bumblebee Ornate Garden designer series paper to 5⅜" x 4⅛"

  4. Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 5" x 1" (remember to check your scraps!)

  5. Use the 3" scalloped square from the Layering Squares die set ton the Bumblebee sunflowers with white daisies Ornate Garden designer series paper and run through your Big Shot (or equivalent)

  6. Stamp your "Thanks" sentiment on your 5" x 1" piece of Whisper White cardstock, centered

  7. Use the Triple Banner Punch to punch either end of the "Thanks" sentiment strip

  8. Use your paper trimmer to score ½" and ¾" from either end of your sentiment strip

  9. Fold the scores as shown in the image below/above

  10. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your overlapping circles in Bumblebee Ornate Garden designer series paper (5⅜" x 4⅛") and adhere down onto your Just Jade card base

  11. Apply adhesive foam strips or Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the die cut scalloped square and adhere down at the top, center of your card base

  12. Apply Stampin' Seal to the back part of your banner punched area of your sentiment (do not apply adhesive directly on the back of your sentiment area - we want this to pop!). Adhere down over the bottom of your stitched square

  13. As a finishing touch, cut approximately 5" of Daffodil Delight ruched ribbon (or use one of the 2020-2022 In color ribbons!) and tie in a small bow. Adhere it down to the top left corner of your sentiment using a mini glue dot

All in all, a very simple card to make and just so cute!
