Terracotta Tile - You Mean So Much to Me
Today's card is a relatively simple one to put together and you could use just about any color combination with it. I chose bolder colors but I think it would look amazing in subtle colors as well.
The colors used in today's card are Terracotta Tile, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black and Whisper White.
I used the following cuts of cardstock:
Terracotta Tile: 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"
Pear Pizzazz: 4⅞" x 5¼"
Basic Black: 4⅞" x ⅝"
Whisper White: 4⅞" x ½"
I also used the following stamps and die cuts:
Large blossoms stamp from the Forever Blossoms stamp set
Large blossoms matching die from the Cherry Blossoms die set
Stitched Rectangles dies: 3¾" x 5⅛"
Stitched Rectangles dies: 2⅝" x 4"
Start by trimming your Terracotta Tile cardstock to 8½" x 5½" and score at 4¼"
Use your bone folder to get a crisp folder along your score line
Cut your Pear Pizzazz cardstock to 4⅞" x 5¼"
Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 4⅞" x ⅝" (remember to check your scraps!)
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4⅞" x ½" (remember to check your scraps!)
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock, using your 3¾" x 5⅛" and 2⅝" x 4" Stitched Rectangle dies in your Big Shot (or equivalent) - this will result in a stitched frame piece
Ink up your large blossoms stamp in Terracotta Tile ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock
Line up your large blossoms die over your stamped image and run through your Big Shot (or equivalent)
Ink up your "you mean so much to me" sentiment stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamp on your 4⅞" x ½" strip of Whisper White cardstock - stamp towards the left side
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your Pear Pizzazz trimmed piece of cardstock and adhere, centered, on your Terracotta Tile card base
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your Stitched rectangle frame and adhere down, centered, over your Pear Pizzazz cardstock
Using both Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, apply to the back of your large blossoms stamped, die cut image and adhere down, approximately 1" from the bottom towards the left side of your card base (see images for details)
Apply Stampin' Seal to the back of your Whisper White sentiment strip and adhere down, centered, on your Basic Black strip
Using 3 Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere your sentiment strip over the bottom of your large blossoms die cut, fitting across to each side of your stitched rectangle frame
As the finishing touch, use your Take Your Pick tool to dig out a few of the Terracotta Tile sequins from the Woven Threads sequin assortment and apply to your card base using your Fine Tip Glue Pen - I used mine to accent my stamped, die cut image
